Welcome
Welcome to the Ozark Interpretive Association store.
The Ozark Interpretive Association, Inc. (OIA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was established in 1987 to help promote conservation and preservation of our National Forests. OIA is committed to providing educational products that reflect a commitment to conservation, ecology, education, and wildlife preservation. We have partnered with the Ozark-St. Francis National Forests, Sam Houston National Forest, and the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers to provide interpretive and educational products in various locations. Our main office is located at Blanchard Springs Caverns in Fifty Six, Arkansas. We operate a Gift Shop in the Visitors Information Center at Blanchard, and have 11 other outlets in Arkansas and Texas.
We also assist in the production of new interpretive materials, such as videos, brochures, and wildlife displays. We believe that increasing visitor appreciation and awareness of our National Forests will secure the future of our greatest national treasures. Through educational programs promoting conservation and preservation, the OIA is working to increase public participation. We are able to do these projects with continued support in purchases made from one of our outlets, and through private donations.
If you haven’t visited our Blanchard Springs Gift Shop, please come by and see our wide selection of books (history, civil war, birds, wildlife, cookbooks, children’s), habitat feeders/houses, plush, and numerous other educational items. We have over 2,000 to choose from. The Gift Shop is open 7 days a week during the summer, and Wednesday – Sunday during the winter (November 1 to March 31). Our Gift Shop hours are 9:30 am to 5:00 pm.
